With the MLS kicking off, we take a look at our top 10 kits and trust us, there's some beauties.

5. Orlando City SC

The new Orlando City kit is a thing of beauty, the purple that fades into a yellow making a sun is so representative of their home state of Florida, otherwise known as the “Sunshine State”. It is a design we’ve never seen before and I think the players will look great while wearing this shirt on the pitch.

4. LA Galaxy

This has to be one of the most clean and sleek jerseys I have ever seen. The base is quite plain since it is all white but the collars and sleeves really make this shirt. Collars are a very important aspect of what makes a good shirt, and the star design certainly makes it a classic already. It represents their success as a club and also reflects on the city, with tons of celebrities calling Los Angeles home.

3. Inter Miami CF

This beautiful pink jersey was designed by the fans and is nicknamed the “Heartbeat Kit.” The sleeves feature an EKG line and are a representation of the fans passion and love for the club. The collar is classic and clean, and the overall colour of the shirt is just so nice. David Beckham did a good job with this one that’s for sure.

2. LAFC

The second Los Angeles team on this list, LAFC have come out with an absolute banger that is getting global attention. The gold and black mix incredibly well together and the design is so nice, and the Art Deco pattern across the front and sleeves give it a fresh classic look. The club badge being in the center of the shirt just adds so much class to an already stunning shirt.

1. Portland Timbers

Coming in first place is the Portland Timbers away shirt. This might be the nicest shirt in MLS history in my opinion. The shirt features a dynamic, pink-forward colorway highlighted by a rose floral pattern across the front. The roses are a reference to the city nickname “Rose City.” The design and detail is just incredible and I will 100% be buying this shirt at some point in the future, no matter the price.

5. CF Montreal

This shirt by CF Montreal is similar to Arsenal’s 2019-2020 shirt with the marble design and it is unique in that way. The colour scheme fits perfectly with the logo on the shirt, while CF Montreal’s logo is a new addition changing from the Montreal Impact a few years ago. For those reasons even with rivalry aside, it makes it onto my top five MLS shirts this season.

4. LA Galaxy

LA Galaxy typically have very clean and great jerseys going back to the days of Zlatan, David Beckham, and Steven Gerrard all playing for the squad. The stars all around the shirt is an incredible idea but for me, the legends that played in this style of jersey and its simplicity is what puts it this high on my rankings.

3. Inter Miami

Pink for some reason just seems to work on football jerseys, case in point the Juventus pink jersey from the 2015-2016 season. To this day It still remains one of the most iconic jerseys of all time. The pink design makes everything better and is a great compliment to the best logo in the league in my opinion.

2. Atlanta United

Atlanta United are up next on the list because of how unique a jersey it is. Every year there is a shirt that catches the eye of the viewer and this is the one for me. Atlanta usually has the red and black accompanied by the stripes but this is a perfect kit to go against the norm and try something else out, and for that they are second on my list.

1. LAFC

The one you have all been waiting for has been unveiled, LAFC are first on my list for the MLS 2021-2022 jersey rankings. When it comes to football shirts, there is no better combo for me than black and gold. To name a few; Juventus’ 3rd jersey from 2016 or Real Madrid’s from two seasons ago with the gold stripes on a white jersey. This shirt is no different and to put it simply it is a beautiful jersey. From the detailing on the MLS patch to the stitched collar, LAFC did an incredible job with this design.
