10. Charlotte FC

The newest MLS team released their first ever home jersey and it's a beauty. Inspired by the colours of the Carolina Panthers the home kit has a clean design with a really nice collar and sleeve cuffs that incorporate all the clubs colours in them, and the sponsor fits in quite well with the jersey, even if it is a bit big. The jersey was worn in their home opener which saw the club set an MLS attendance record with 74,479 people in the stadium.

9. Atlanta United

Atlanta United released their new mint away kit and it received lots of attention online right away because of the resemblance of the 1988 Netherlands jersey, which has often been dubbed as the greatest jersey of all time. The colours are based on Atlanta’s green spaces around the city and represent their commitment to sustainability. The colour and template of the jersey make it an easy top 10 choice.

8. CF Montreal

Being the only Canadian team on the list, this shirt stands out and in a good way. The marble design with the club colours across the shirt is fantastic, the only reason it isn’t higher up on the list is because it is a ripped off version of Arsenal’s away jersey from last season. Overall a nice kit though.

7. Colorado Rapids

The Colorado Rapids home shirt introduces a classy design in dark red with blue detailing on the collar and cuffs. The standout feature of the Colorado Rapids jersey is a subtle print on the front and sleeves, depicting abstract mountains and representing the city of Denver, which famously sits at 5,280 feet above sea level. The detailing of the mountains is what makes this shirt incredible.

6. New York Red Bulls

The checkerboard pattern on the NY Red Bulls away shirt is a really nice and fresh design and it incorporates the main colours of the team. The white logo mixes really well with the shirt and the sort of 3D boxes are a really nice touch.

10. Sporting KC

This design comes at number 10 for me because of its sleek and well coloured design. The sponsor does not ruin or take over the shirt, as some jerseys do and the colours complement it perfectly.You can never go wrong with a blue jersey and Sporting KC knocked it out of the park with their home kit this season. Even the pattern that runs throughout the shirt is a nice touch; a common theme with Adidas jerseys.

9. New England Revolution

New England comes in at number 9 for me because similar to Sporting KC, it has a very clean design. Adidas once again created a really nice checkerboard pattern throughout the shirt that goes from lighter to darker in different areas. The white stripes with the navy blue compliment each other very well, along with the red collar. The one downside is the logo as I feel it is a downgrade from their logo of previous years

8. New York Red Bulls

The New York Red Bulls did so well with this shirt and it all stems from the colours that were chosen. The red with the white and Red Bull logo in the middle looks great, continuing the trend of Red Bull jerseys that have looked great in the 2021-2022 season following Red Bull Salzburg and Red Bull Leipzig. The downside is the checkered pattern, where it looked great for the New England Revolution it lacks for the Red Bulls. The pattern is too much it takes away from the overall look of the shirt and does not look as if it fits.

7. Real Salt Lake

Real Salt Lake’s home shirt for this season is incredible because of its simplicity and colour choice. The colour scheme is similar to older Spain National team jerseys with the red and yellow that is seen throughout the shirt. The sponsor does not take away from the rest of the kit and there is no pattern that does the same. It is an overall great shirt that could even be higher, it was difficult having to rank them at number 7.

6. Minnesota United

Black jerseys to me always come out looking spectacular and Minnesota United’s did just that despite using a very different shade of blue. The colours match well and the logo is what takes it away, because of its uniqueness in its design making the jersey even better. Finally, there is a nice stripe pattern that runs throughout but does not take away from the rest of the shirt—it adds what this design needed. Overall, great design from the club that was founded only in 2015.
