Through six incredibly exciting weeks of football, the contenders and the collapsing franchises of the National Football League have clearly been defined. This season has had its fair share of exhilarating twists and turns that keep the fans on the edge of their seats.
Some teams have downgraded their abilities, while others have skyrocketed to the top of their respective conferences. In this piece, we will be breaking down the success stories of the most improved squads in the NFL from a few select teams.
Firstly, we have the New York Giants led by Daniel Jones and Sequon Barkley. Both talented stars have really stepped up this year and put in some incredible work to produce exceptionally so far this year. From last season’s numbers from the NFC East, they were in last place behind the Washington Commanders and only had one more win than the poor performing Detroit Lions.

Injuries riddled their core to a shell of their true selves. Coming into the season, the Giants looked much stronger and healthier than in years past. Daniel Jones looked more focused and hungry to achieve a winning season. Thus far, the Giants are on pace to accomplish just that. The 25-year old Quarterback looks to have gotten his feet under him and finally prove all the doubters wrong.
With only a crushing loss to the division rivals of Dallas, they have seemed to bounce back with wins over the Bears, Packers and Ravens. Considering the performance from last year and comparing that to the first six games of this season, the Giants have made some significant improvements.
Next, we take a deep dive into the only undefeated team in the NFL through six weeks. The Philadelphia Eagles look extremely strong in this decent sample size this season. The Eagles might not have come into the 2022-23 season with a terrible record from the previous year, but they look great offensively and defensively. Just like the improvements to Daniel Jones’ game, Jalen Hurts has really stepped it up from last year.
The 24-year old has carried the offense down the field with excellent results. This Eagles team finished with a 9-8 record to advance to the playoffs with a wildcard position.

This year, they start the season with a 6-0 record and don’t show any signs of stopping. The momentum driven Cowboys were stopped dead in their tracks with the Eagles defense ending the brute force of Copper Rush.
Finally, we have the NY Jets. Although their record isn’t as impressive as the Giants or Eagles, they have improvements from the embarrassments of last season. The Jets aren’t defeated by massive blowouts anymore and have a winning record to show for so far. They still have a long way to go and the chances of making the playoffs are slim to none. Certain positions could be better, but I digress.
With all the details above, I believe the most improved team in the NFL is the NY Giants. They have proved through the moves they’ve made that they should be ready to contend for a Lombardi trophy once more.
