JUAN BIG TRADE

Juan Soto is only 23 years old and is arguably one of the best hitters in today's game. Soto has turned down numerous offers from the Washington Nationals and the most recent one was 15 years/$440M. With Soto not committed long term with the Nationals, the team has decided to test the waters and see what is available for one of the league's best young talents. This could be one of the biggest trades ever made in MLB history, so let's take a dive into 4 teams I believe can present the best deal for the Nationals.
Juan Soto to New York Mets
The New York Mets currently own the 2nd best record in the NL and the outfield definitely would benefit from an improvement. The only issue with the Mets is that the farm system is not the best, so they might need to add some more current MLB players to the deal.

If the Mets were to somehow land Juan Soto and then somehow resign him, they would be hips deep into the luxury tax.
Mets receive: Juan Soto
Nationals receive: Francisco Alvarez, Brett Baty, Ronny Mauricio, Alex Ramirez, Mark Vientos, Brandon Nimmo
Juan Soto to San Diego Padres
The San Diego Padres have one the best farm systems in the game and could put together a very enticing offer for Juan Soto. Having a lefty righty combo of Juan Soto and Fernando Tatis Jr. could destroy the league for years to come.

It would allow for them to keep pace with the Dodgers or even possibly win a few division titles. The Padres haven’t been uber competitive in the month of October, so adding a guy like Juan Soto definitely makes them a threat in the National League.
Padres receive: Juan Soto
Nationals receive: Mackenzie Gore, Will Myers, CJ Abrams, Robert Hassell, James Wood, Robert Gasser
Juan Soto to Los Angeles Dodgers
Lord help me, because if Andrew Friedman somehow pulls this off, the Dodgers might be the greatest team of all time. Not only is the Major League team elite but the Dodgers farm system was ranked #1 by Bleacher Report heading into the season.

A deal for Juan Soto would put together not only one of the best teams of all time, but one of the best defensive outfields in recent memory. The Dodgers are very familiar with the Nationals front office, after acquiring Trea Turner and Max Scherzer in a deal last season. I personally am not a fan of a Juan Soto to LA deal because I rather keep the prospects and spend that money on players we currently have, but it is also Juan Soto.
Dodgers receive: Juan Soto
Nationals receive: Ryan Pepiot, Diego Cartaya, Andy Pages, Bobby Miller, Gavin Lux
Juan Soto to St. Louis Cardinals
This is a hard one for me because I just don’t see a team like the Cardinals parting away with a ton of young talent to make a deal for Juan Soto but anything is possible. Another team with the capabilities for a very enticing offer, the RF position could most definitely use an upgrade.

If the Cardinals were to make a Juan Soto trade, it most likely means Nolan Gorman is gone, which is why I find this trade to be unlikely on the Cardinals end. Gorman has turned into one of the most elite defensive second basemen and is only 22 years old. A lot of the Cardinals prospects have made strides in the Majors so far and have the potential to become above average players or even All Stars.
Cardinals receive: Juan Soto
Nationals receive: Nolan Gorman, Dylan Carlson, Matthew Liberatore, Jordan Walker, Juan Yepez
